Who the fuck uses a 1024x768 resolution, this is Newgrounds, so the majority of people do intense vector art and animations which usually leads them into buying large monitors and set them to their max resolution to have the most space to work on. I would suggest;

It really doesn't matter, as I said, it was just a random resolution! Its more than likely going to all be vector anyway, so you could scale it up as big as you want, and It will still look super clear!
As long as it has the right aspect ratio it's good. So 1024 x 768 (I think that's it) is good.

That's a tool to convert swf's into screensavers :) I haven't tested it myself though so I don't know how good it is.
